SYNOPSIS
'Fame means never having to say you're sorry' in this jaw-dropping documentary following the rags-to-riches-to-rags story of musician/bartender-cum-filmmaker Troy Duffy who, as a novice film writer/director, is offered the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to turn his screenplay, The Boondock Saints, into a feature film. Caught up in a whirlwind of hype, Duffy makes the unfortunate mistake of asking two friends to document his rise to fame. This leads to a roller-coaster ride of grand proportions as his ego rockets out of control and he refuses to believe the deal has turned sour. Featuring cameos from a number of well-known actors, Overnight received its World Premiere at the 2004 Sundance Film Festival.
